The Information
The
Wikipedia Article says it is his grandfather who was raised by a priest the uncle of the grandfather, but Wild Bill’s Official biographer says it is his father. We will get into the law regarding the clergy of adopting children.
Wild Bill dad, Timothy O’Donovan was a member of a secret society while Catholic,
Fenian.
Their family home in Buffalo was used as this Masonic group’s temple.
His dad could not get a job, because at that time their was hatred of the Irish by posting signs saying “No Need For Irish To Apply”, yet Buffalo in their blue book considered the Donovans prominent citizens.
He and his mom went to the same school run by nuns called Miss Nardin’s Academy, he could barely make the grade of Cs, but the nuns noticed though he was very well read already.
Then he goes to St. Joseph Collegiate Institute, a Catholic High School run by the Christian Brothers. The Bishop Of Buffalo,
Bishop James Edward Quigley, paid for it from the Diocese Funds.
He graduates, he then goes to the
Niagara University and Seminary, but it was Father William Egan to go into the legal field and wrote a glowing recommendation to
Columbia College and he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art. Then entered into Columbia Law. His mentor/professor in Law School was
Harlan F. Stone taught him Equity Law. In Columbia Law, his classmate was
FDR. Which connects us with Wall Street and The Skull and Bones Men who put Hitler into power.
While he was in Columbia Law, he dated
Mary Harriman, the daughter of
E. H. Harriman who will be the father of
William Averell Harriman. After Law School, he came back to Buffalo and joined the law firm Love and Keating, two years later he and
Bradley Goodyear opened up a private practice. Three years later they would merge with the most prominent lawyer in Buffalo,
John Lord O’Brien who advised President Taft and their new law practice would have the ear of several Presidents.
During this time, Bill was permitted into the Saturn Club, then formed the tennis club, and squash club. As his rise, he then began to order tailored suits from New York City and began to donate to the Republican Party, which is a must for those rising in politics and business. He then began to pay for his little brother’s education at Seminary but put strings attached to that money. He also paid for his sister to attend Catholic School in DC, but the nuns had to send him a copy of her report card to see how she was doing and her grades were horrible.
While at the Saturn Club, he and other businessmen began to form their own military unit called Businessmen Troop rather than Silk Stocking Troop.
